Sometimes, when I'm preparing for a show, I think to myself, "This can't be real."

I wish I could tell you it was a rare occurrence, but it happens ALL THE TIME!

This week, I actually watched some of the news as it was breaking.

I listened to the oral arguments presented to SCOTUS and heard a woman who was an attorney, then judge, and now a United States Supreme Court Justice say she was concerned that others thought the 1st Amendment could hamstring the government.

I know...I know...

The entire point of the Bill of Rights is to hamstring the government.

In fact, the entire Consitution is We the People saying what the government can and cannot do. The purpose of the document is to set limitations on the government.

Surely she's heard this before.

Then I go and listen to Elon musk try to get Don Lemon to understand how things could get worse...you know...hypothetically...if we reduced standards for jobs like surgeon or pilot.

Much to my surprise, Don Lemon couldn't follow the logic train. A grown man--a media professional--incapable of thinking about a hypothetical situation.

To top it all off, if you survive the street and subway violence in NYC, you might find a squatter when you get home. Don't call the cops...they'll arrest you for bothering the squatter.

That's not a joke! You'll need to hear this story to believe it!
